Animals, birds, monsters, reptiles and, indeed, humans all featured frequently in Celtic art, often greatly stylised. Bettine Bain's designs in this field concentrate largely on birds, although there is also a very nice wee Celtic horse.

As usual with Sewing Room products, all kits contain detailed working instructions and patterns, top quality material, a gold-plated needle, DMC stranded cottons and (where appropriate) Madeira metallics and DMC rayons. Chartpacks exactly the same charts as you'll find in the kits, but not the needle, threads or material, so if you buy a kit, you don't need to buy a chartpack as well. Our prices all include world-wide postage and packing. Although designed for evenweave, most Sewing Room kits are now available with a choice of either 27-count evenweave or 14-count Aida material.

Both of these effective little kits have a design size of 9 x 9 cms (3½ x 3½ inches)
and use Cross & Holbein stitches with stranded and tatting cottons and gold metallic. The kits are both supplied with a choice of either 14-count Aida or 27-count evenweave material and include DMC stranded and tatting cottons, Madeira metallic thread, gold plated needle, charts and instructions.
